Other interesting Seattle buildings, mostly located downtown around Pine Street.

Here’s the Paramount Theatre again. It’s one of my favorite buildings in Seattle. Great colors, nice details, good entertainment.

This round residential tower stands across 9th Avenue from the Paramount. The closer you get, the more it looks more like a corncob. Right?

Here’s a modest concrete building at Howell Street and 8th Avenue. I can’t decide why I like it so much – maybe the determined balance of vertical and horizontal elements. That architect set out to build some lines, and by golly they were built.

The glowing orange building in the distance is the Pacific Medical Center in Beacon Hill, looking south from Little Saigon. The building was originally the veterans hospital and now serves as Amazon’s headquarters, though the company’s moving offices soon.
